Icekit's birth

Sleetstar lay in the nursery. It was the fith day at their new camp and the night of the gathering. She had dicided to send Burntash in her place. It was dark out and she started to feel contractions. She licked the fur on her side.

Sleetstar lick a tiny squeling kit that lay by her side. She had five to begain with but the rest hadn't made it. This kit was oddly white and had peircing cold blue eyes. She looked at the kit for a while in amazement, "Ice...." She murmered licking it again and nudging it closer it her.

Icekit squeled pitifuly. She was hungery and squermed against her mothers licks. She wailed again and crawled forward. She felt her mother push her gently and gave a small cry before finding her mothers side and begain to feed.

rose had come back early after hereing burnt ashes reason why sleetstar wasnt at the gathering. When she walked in she seen the shadowclan leader and the only living kit "i see you have a new addition to the clan"

Sleetstar nodded both sadly and happily, "Yea.." She murmered. "Why are you here Rose? Shouldn't you be at the gathering?"

Icekit squeled again as she kneeded her mother warm belly. She was still hungry and didn't like Sleetstars movement as she talked.

"i left early because i heard the good news and thought i would come and help and congragulate you" she replied.

Sleetstar licked Icekits head to calm her "You didn't have to. You could have waite untill it was over." She said looking up.

"no i wanted to come now rest or you wont have any energy to take care of icekit, ill send over one of the medicen creatures to look after you every day you must tell burntash not to harm the creature though." she replied cooly to sleetstar.

Icekit wailed wrathfuly at the two talking cat(things XD) and crawledmeagerly closer to her mother.

rose steped closer to the kit and then her eyes went blue and the same thing happend just likke on the way to make the leaders leaders. "this kit shall be speicial to this clan by fiflilling her life as a medicen creature and if she doesnt you will not see this kit become any thing but duust." and rose toppled over to the oposite side of them.

Icekit, though she couldn't hear or see, stoped her crying and faced where Rose had been standing.

Sleetstar Stared wide eyed at Rose. What if Icekit didn't want to be a medicine cat? She thought bristling.

when rose woke up she was on the ground "did it happen agian" rose asked to sleetstar.

Sleetstar lay there and curled her tail protectivly around her kit.

"im guessing it did what did they have to say?" rose asked sleetstar.

Sleetstar gave Rose a wairy look. "They said what I dare not speak. Ask them yourself." Sleetstar said turning her attention to Icekit. I don't want you to be something you don't want to be... She thought grooming her kit

"its about the kit isnt it?" rose asked "if it was i dont want any harm to come to the kit and my best wish is that you do as your told." and rose walked out of the nursery.

Sleetstar Glared at the disappering figure. "Im not going to do anything unless she wan'ts me to!" she hissed to her self.

Burntash walked in at that moment and rubed noses with Sleetstar.

Icekit wailed again am squermed closer to Sleetstar
