The finding of herbs

Icekit crept out of the nursery. Sleetstar, her mother, was asleep and she was bored. She had never been outside camp and wanted to go explore. nudging her way out of the make shift barrier she gasped at all the sights and smells.

"And where do you think your going?" Sleetstar asked hovering over her kit

Icekit nearly jumped out of her fur when she heard her mothers voice. "Um....out side camp?" she squeeked.

Sleetstar smirked, "Alright, I'll show you around." she purred softly before padding out to take her kit around the territory

"Ok!" Icekit squealed jumping up and down excitedly before following her mother. They passed a plant that smelled erasistably good. "Mother, whats that?" she asked sniffing it curiously

Sleetstar had seen that plant afew times, enough to know what it was though it was the only one she knew about, "Thats catmint, Icekit. I don't know if its any good for things accept to roll in."

"Is it poison?" Icekit asked eating one of the leaves. "It taists good!" She squeeled

"I don't know..." Sleetstar said doubtfuly. "I dont think it is..."

Icekit spat out the rest of the leaf. "Well we'll know later...." She mewed quietly... they padded on and she stoped at another plant, this one was yellow. "Whats this on mother?" She quiestioned. "I think it could be used for something.."

"I don't know about this one Ice...." Sleetstar mewed. Why is she so curious about plants?? she thought to herself..."You...you can try it if you want..." she mewed horsely knowing she needed to let the kit take a chance at things

Icekit nodded with aprehention and took a leaf and chewed it. After afew minutes she threw up. "Yarrow!!!" She coughed

Shock hit Sleetstar like a boulder. "W-what did you call it?" she asked

"Yarrow..I don't know why but thats what I wanted to call it..." Icekit mewed softly. They padded on after that. "Ow!" Icekit wailed as she steped on a thorn. Her paw bled and she triped and fell into a spiders web. startled she rubed it off her franticly. "Hey..." she said slowly, "It stop my paw from bleeding.."

"A-are you ok??" Sleetstar asked as she rushed over to her kit. She was shoked again when she learned what the cobwebs did.

Icekit nodded. I wonder how many other things there are to learn about!

"We better be geting back to camp...your father will be wonderng where we are." Sleetstar mewed leading her kit back to camp. I hope this is just a faze she thought sullenly

"Aw, ok mother..." Icekit mewed following her mother with her tail drooping
